LightReader stores a single user preference locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

Always Convert setting — a boolean value indicating whether automatic dark-to-light conversion is enabled.

This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.

What Data We Do Not Collect

No personal information
No browsing history
No analytics or tracking
No cookies
No data shared with third parties

Permissions Used

Scripting — to inject a CSS stylesheet that converts dark pages to light, and to detect dark backgrounds.
Storage — to save your "Always Convert" preference locally.
Host permissions (all URLs) — to apply the color conversion on any website you visit.
